Cleaning and Maintenance

Keep firearms reliable and safe with proper cleaning and lubrication.

Essentials
  • Use a cleaning rod, bore guide (if applicable), appropriate brushes/patches, solvent, and quality lubricant.
  • Field-strip according to the manufacturer’s manual. Always confirm the firearm is unloaded.
Basic Steps
  1. Clean the bore from chamber to muzzle where possible. Alternate solvent and dry patches until clean.
  2. Brush and wipe the chamber, bolt/slide, feed ramp, and other carbon-prone areas.
  3. Lightly lubricate bearing surfaces. Avoid over-lubrication that can attract debris.
  4. Inspect springs, pins, and screws for wear or loosening. Reassemble and function-check.
